We were just "hunting" in Ms and saw lots of Derrick's in Luthern cemetaries. We were in Smith and Atalla county.
New Hope Luthern Church (the 1st Luthern Church in the State) is in Sallis,Ms. There have been Derrick's there since its inception. I saw the original Church records and walked the graveyard.
Please email mail if you want more info, I am only looking for one Derrick/ Nancy Eakin Stingley married a Derrick after 1864 in Smith county.
