I have a few pages from a book "The Dunkelberger Family: Europe to America 1600-1982" compiled by Shirley J Turner. A portion of a plat map of Greenwich Tws, Berks Co, PA and edided for Derrick interest...Map shows Simon Derrick leased 133+ acres to John Kiehl in 1746, with Simon Derrick owning 100+ acres and 15+ acres in same Greenwich Tws. Neighbors as shown by map were John Kiehl 1746, Daniel Kline 1738, Peter Dunkelberger 1734, Ulrich Moyer 1750, Clemens Dunkelberger 1734, John Dunkel 1750,Sebastin Graaf 1744, land owners above fork of Saucony Creek and Maiden Creek near Virginville-Richmond Tws. (Windsor, later known as Perry Tws, nearby) the nearest Church was that of "New Jersusalem (Dunkel's) Church located along Ontelaunee Creek. "Moselem Church" located southeast of Saucony Creek and Virginville was alson nearby.
Does anyone know if "The Dunkelberger Family: Europe to America 1600-1982" by Shirley J Turner is still in print? I would love to purchase a copy. Based on the above information, Simon Derrick owned approximately 249 acres of land early as Oct 22, 1746 in Greenwich Tws, Berks Co, PA.
