I have a picture taken in 1919 at the Union Mission of Canton Ohio of Rev. JOhn M. Derrick ,my grandfather as a Spanish-American War vet. The 2 oldest sons, Joe and Jim, ended up in Tampa Fla where they lived until they passed away. John Cornelius after many travels settled here in S.E. Tex as the pastor of a small S. Baptist church. However he too passed in Tampa at the home of his brother Joseph in 1972. I have heard stories of mission life in Canton during Prohibition but actually know very little of the family history since my grandparents died when I was very young. Also I have no clue how to trace a family tree. I found this site by doing a google search on my last name.
