Absolem DERRICK, b. 1818 is the same I have found. His parents were Michael DERRICK, b. 1765 (Shenandoah Co., VA) and Elizabeth MOYER. Their children were:
John, b. 1790 (m. Catherine BROWN), Magdaline, b. 1792, Jacob L., b. 1794, Jonathan, b. 1795, Charlotte, b. 1796, Andrew, b. 1798, James, b. 1800, Marvel, b. 1802, Susan, b. 1804, Michael C., b. 1807, Cornelius, b. 1811, and Absolem Glossup, b. 1818.
Michael DERRICK's parents were John (Fredrich) DERRICK and Anna Maria DUNKELBERGER. Their children were:
Elizabeth, b. 1762 (m. Adam FUCHS/FOX), Mary Magdalena, b. 1764, Michael, b. 1765, Catherine, b. 1772, Barbara, b. 1775, Johathan, b. 1776, Rosanna, b. 1780, William Eve, b. 1785, and John, b. 1783. Elizabeth and Mary Magdalena were born in Berks Co., PA and all other were born in Shenandoah Co., VA.
Parents of John (Fredrich) DERRICK were Johann Simon DERK, b. 1718 (Lippe Germany), d. 1787 and Catherine Margaretha STAPLETON, b. 1720, d. 1796 (Berks Co., PA). Catherine Margaretha moved in with her brother Tobias STAPLETON following the death of her husband.
