The number of infants baptized by me in the Woodsboro Congregation from the 17th of Aug 1841 until Feb 1842 is about 20. I took minutes of all baptisms during this time on a small piece of paper with the view of recording them in the church register as is customary; but having lost the paper, I of course cannot do it and have entered this note as an explanation why during a term of six months but one solitary batism has been recorded by me in this book.
