Thanks, I had that one, too, but have recently located Vital Statistics entries in Bath Co for the birth of some of Preston's children by his 2nd wife. In those records he states he was born in Montgomery Co.

He might be the under 10 son of Mary Derossett who is on the 1810 census in Montgomery Co. If so, his brothers might be James and Solomon. Preston was born circa 1809.
