I am the grandson of Tallulah Low deRosset (Peschau)whose mother Tallulah Ellen Low (deRosset) is the subject of your message dated 2002. Tallulah Ellen Low of Savannah, Ga., married Armand Lamar deRosset of Wilmington, N.C. on May 17, 1866. Her parents James Hugh Low and Maria Louise Hollis (Low) of Savannah later moved to Griffen ,Ga.,following the cotton market as James Hugh and his father John were cotton factors. Sometime after John's
death in Griffen, James Hugh and Maria Louise Low moved to Atlanta, Ga. where they occupied a residential suite in the old Kemble House Hotel until their Queen Anne Style Home was constructed on Capitol Ave. (destroyed in late 1950's or early 1960's for urban renewal and baseball stadium). In the l880's they moved because of failing health to be close to their daughter Tallulah Ellen in Wilmington N.C..
James Hugh Low and Maria Louise Low are buried in Oakdale Cemetary, Wilmington N.C.. I have no information on the Low line prior to James Hugh Low. I would appreciate any information you might have on this Low line.
