ELIJAH WAS FATHER OF "MARV" DEROSSETT

Marvel R. "Marv" DeROSSETT was indeed born March 18, 1823, but in White Co., Tennessee. Yes, he married Myra HOLLOWAY on March 14, 1842 in the part of Rhea Co., TN that later became Cumberland Co., TN. His father was Elijah DeROSSETT and because a female named Nancy was in Elijah's household on the 1850 White Co., TN Census we asume she was the mother of all of Elijah's children. She was not in the household in 1860 and we don't know what happened to her. Elijah was in White Co., TN by 1811 and is on the 1811 Tax List there. There is considerable evidence that Lewis DUROSET of Virginia, and of Jefferson, Jackson, and White Counties of Tennessee, was Elijah's father. I have never found a Frederich DeROSSETT (any spelling)
