Hi Debbie: It is good to see that someone else is finally writing on this forum.. I too am related to Maximillian. My paternal grandmother,(1) Marion Eastman deRochemont, was the daughter of (2)Benjamin C. deRochemont & Ruth Ann Eastman of Newington, NH.later of Newburyport, MA. All the rest are from the Newington, NH area. His parents: (3)George Washington deRochemont & Henrietta Jacoba deWitt(4) Maximillian John deRochemont & Sarah Ham Moses, (5) Charles Peter William deRochemont.
I have quite a bit of information from correspondences & relatives on the family. I am now trying to find what ship Maximillian came over on as stated in the story I have on the deRochemont Family Gathering that took place in Aug. 23, 1866. This booklet gives the account of Maximillian's life & his coming to America. Do you have this booklet? I also am trying to find the Max that lived in W. Newbury, MA in the summers while he lived in NY during the other months. A friend of mine lives in the house now. Please feel free to contact me & lets swap information. Betty
