I was looking through this booklet that
my dad's cousin made on the DeRoche geneology. On one page (below a map of
Montreal) she has written "We have cousins
in St. Jacques - Cecile and Gabriel LaPointe,
who I write to and speak with fairly often.
Her mother and father were Emile and Irene
DeRoche". Maybe this is a connection?
