I believe ( not proven yet with documentation ) that this Henry is my Great Grandfather who was married to my GGrandmother Christiana in the 1850 census in Union Co. Ohio. I have to try to find a divorce record or ? in either Union, Hardin or Logan co. I plan on doing that this year.
My Grandfather was his youngest son - Joseph A. Derflinger.
By the 1860 census the family is broken up and living with other people in the area. I find Christiana in ILL. in 1870 married to another man and Joseph living with them. She eventually returned to Mt. Victory, Hardin Co. Ohio and died in 1905 while living with her son Wm B. Derflinger.
Henry and Delilah Bushong were married in 1860- I think and show up in Logan Co. I find one of Joseph's brothers ( Wm B. ) living with them in 1870 census - Bokes Creek. Another key to this is that Delilah's son James served in the same unit with 2 of Henry's sons in the civil war - the 7th Indpt. Ohio Sharp Shooters ( General Sherman's personal body guards in the last year of the war ). E-Mail me please, so we can exchange more info. Charlie Derflinger
