Denise,
I have some information on both Daniel Sr. and Jr. since they lived here in Hamilton County, Noblesville, Indiana. I received most of the other information on them from Joanne Chatfield - a direct descendant of Daniel Jr.'s son James Riley Durflinger. You can E-mail her at [email protected]
What do you know about your connection to Daniel?
I can tell you that Daniel Jr. and his wife are buried here in Riverside Cemetery and that Frederick Durflinger bn 1762 died 1839 is buried in Carey Cemetery ( Daniel Sr. Uncle ) - I have taken pictures of the gravestones for Joanne. Joanne has almost all the her family tree documented and I'm sure would love to here from you. She has been working on it for several years now.
We just found my Grandfather - Joseph A. Derflinger - and his parents ( Henry and Christiana ) along with 6 brothers and a sister in the 1850 Ohio census - Union County. I had been looking for over a year for him in Ohio / ILL. and Indiana. My family is from Newton Co. Ind. Joanne and I are now trying to link him into her family tree or at least a branch of it.
Let me know if I can be of any further help.
You can e-mail me at [email protected]
Charlie D.
