Thanks for the reply. The information you have almost matches mine and this Joseph Aaron Derflinger is my Grandfather. I met a John Wesley Derflinger in Morocco Indiana just before he died 1 Aug. 1953. He was married to Addie Mae Burke. They are buried in Morocco Indiana. Is this the same John Derflinger? Also a John Derflinger and a Charles Gross were witnesses at my grandparents wedding at San Pierre, Ind.
I have Josephs first wife as Anna Gross. I talked to a Jerome Hendrickson who is a descendant of Ella Hestella Hendrickson. My grandfather also is his great grandfather. They used Durflinger instead of Derflinger. I Talked to him about 2 weeks ago. That information is on the new Morman Church web site - search for Derflinger.
I am the oldest son of Delmer ( Not Delmar )
and have a complete family tree from my grandparents down. I also am interested in finding out if we are descendants of Indians. I was always told that we had Cherokee Indian blood in our family. We have never been ashamed of this - in fact just the reverse was true.
What Derflinger reunion are you talking about?
