I am researching my husband's family. Have traced them back to Cranfield in Bedfordshire from where they moved to Nottingham and Shirebrook. Am particularly interested in information regarding a Walter Ping (Cranfield) wife Catherine nee Bates (Lincolnshire.) Walter a miner & Catherine lived in Shirebrook with their son Alfred and two visitors, Arthur Wilcock and an Edward Black, this is according to the 1891 Census.
