Anyone interested in our immigrant's origins, you may contact me. Spent some time in Switzerland this summer and found Barbara Pfund's birthplace at Eggersriet. Also a couple of 300-year-old cousins. Barbara (widow, b. 1702) was also a Protestant (Evangelischer) refugee, living in a Catholic Bishopric when she immigrated. The Giessendanner's (who married Joseph and Anne in Orangeburgh) were also from Eggersriet; tomb in churchyard. Think all this stems from the Thirty Year's War, 1618-1648. Best from Barnett DeRamus
