I have been trying to track her down yesterday and this morning. She should be related to my wife if I can just find her parents.
She is on the 1900 census living with an Aunt and Uncle in Gibson County, TN. Name is Arkdelphia Depriest (somewhat scribbled). Also a younger brother Alvin A.
She in on the marriage records for Gibson Co., TN as Arka DePriest, marrying Fletcher Neill. She is on the 1910 census as Arka Neill. Her death certificate names her as Mrs. Arkie Neill. Her cemetery records say Arkie Neill.
But that 1900 census says she was born in Arkansas, and there is a city in Arkansas named Arkadelphia. Plus, her
daughter Shelly's death certificate says the name is Arkdelphia.
Coming from Arkansas, with the name DePriest, there is a good chance that she has some Indian blood.

I just uploaded her into my wife's data base on www.rootsweb.com, in their worldconnect project. Look in the data base liz_erickson .
The main search engine probably won't have it until tomorrow.
