I know this is a little late for a follow-up, but your Sarah is in some data I'm working with...

James Carden m. Sarah DePriest, 28 Nov 1782, Powhatan Co. William DePriest of Henrico County purchased land in Amherst in 1785 and made James the overseer. He also mentions a daughter Sally (Sarah), to whom he bequests a black walnut chest of drawers, in his will.
Your Sarah is probably the daughter of this William DePriest and his wife Lucy Frayser. Lucy's mother's name is Martha. William's parentage is very unclear, but it was definitely not William and Judith. His will was proved 7 Jan 1788.
