SOLOMON COMMODORE SWINDLE was born about 1780 in Culpepper Co., Virginia and died after 1870 in Oglethorpe Co., GA. He was first married to Sarah Lemons/LeMonds the daughter of John Lemons of Rockingham Co., North Carolina. Sarah died March 11, 1819 during child birth. Solomon and Sarah had seven children as follows:
a. Nancy Swindle born January 7, 1801
b. Thomas Swindle born December 13, 1802
c. James Swindle born March 17, 1804
d. John Swindle born March 12, 1808
e. Polly Swindle born July 10, 1811
f. Catherine Swindle born July 2, 1815
g. Joel Swindle born March 11, 1819 (same date his mother died)
SOLOMON COMMODORE SWINDLE married second LETHA DEPRIEST in Madison Co., Georgia on July 12, 1829 and they had the following children:
h. Jane Swindle (born before 1830)
i. George (?) Swindle (born before 1835)
j. Benjamin Swindle twin (born about 1835)
k. Samuel Swindle twin (born about 1835)
l. Solomon Mathew Swindle (born about 1842)
m. Asa Swindle (born about 1844)
