I'm researching our Deppe side of the family and have managed to trace it back to Ernest Deppe, born in Germany in 1843 and emigrated to England sometime in the 1860s, settling in London. He met and married Esther Sarah Harris in 1869 and they had two children that I know of: Ernest Deppe, b.1870 and George Deppe, b.1873.
Ernest married my great-grandfather's cousin Rosina Southall in 1893.
What I'd like to know is from where in Germany did Ernest Deppe originate. I know nothing about the German Deppe's so any information would be greatly appreciated.
