Effie Lucretia Prather born in 1884 married a W.E. Denton. They had three daughters:
Margie...born in 1901
Virgie...born in 1903 (married a Stevenson)
Hursie...born in 1906
I do not know what happened to W.E. Denton. But in Feb. of 1910, Effie married my grandfather, Mack Looper, in Sallisaw, OK. They had a son Cyril Osborn Looper the 15th of August 1912. Effie died that Sept. 3,1912 and was buried in the Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw. That Oct. Cyril died. The three Denton girls went to live with their uncle Howard Lee "Baxter" Prather's family in Grove, Oklahoma. Virgie Denton married a Stevenson and around 1989 she died and was buried in Grove, OK. in the Olympus Cemetery there. Anyone that has any information of these families, drop me a line. PS: Effie and her three daughters had applied to the Dawes Rolls. Effie and Margie was granted some land outside Sallisaw. When Effie died my grandfather sold the land to pay off the bills she owed.
