Suppose it is proper to consider Mary E. RAKESTRAW as the same personage as Mary COUSINS ??

Age recorded in 1910 and 1880 is considerate to be close for comparison is spite of different census dates within the calendar ??

You might care to check the volume INDEX TO GEORGIA`S 1867-1868 RETURNS OF QUALIFIED VOTERS AND REGISTRATION OATH BOOKS [WHITE] compiled by John David BRANDENBERG and Rita Binkley WORTHY (c)1995 on page 127 to find references to folio boxes for data on your DENTON.

You can also check NARA Series M653 Microfilm roll 133 for Paulding Co GA and there are Samuel and Jane Carter DENTON listed as well as the others on pages 734 and 742.

In 1850 you will find the senior members of your DENTON listed in Cobb Co GA on page 214. They are listed in the 1840 census as living in Cobb Co GA on page 253.

I would not bet my life on it but Samuel is listed in Gwinnett Co GA in 1830 on page 341.
That is about as far as I can push the wall back. I am sure there are others who can furnish you more information beyond Samuel and Jane Carter DENTON.

By the way, John F. is listed with wife, Thela in 1900 and Thella S. in 1910. What was her maiden name and when did she die ??

This was certainly a very interesting project.
