Hi Richard, sorry I didn't have more info. I just ran a quick search to see if I could find any info for you.I've hit a brick wall, but when this happens I select another relative to research. For several months the name De Dacre/Dacre kept popping up in my searches so I decided to trace back and see the connection they have to the Denton's. I finally found it yesterday. So far I have gone back to the year 1100 to Thomas De Dacre,he was my great grandfather x 25. The connection to the Dentons came through Mary Smith ( John Rock Smith's daughter)and Samuel Denton, (Rev.Richard Denton's son). Also at this site http://www.archive.org/stream/dentonfamilynote00mcpi it is a scan of two pages from a book . On the first page at the top of the second half is the name William Denton.
A website that I find a lot of documented info at is http://www.adapl.okpls.org/Internet.htm scroll down to the center of the page and click on Heritage Quest. The password is P12345 I have found several books with numerous stories about the Dentons, I am looking for their connection (if any) to our line of Dentons.
