I thought I had sent this message earlier, but since it doesn"t show up and you haven't responded, perhaps I didn't. I have the following census data that confirms what you have stated and perhaps fills it out a bit.
1850 Nottana, St. Joseph Co., Mich.: ISAAC DENTON, 29 farmer, value of prop. $3000; born NY; Marict[sic][prob. his wife] 21 years, born Ohio. NANCY 4, b. Indiana, JAM(ES) 7 mos., b. Mich. BENJAMIN DENTON, 25, by NY, farmer. The last man was certainly a brother. I have no later census data from Mich. Looking at earlier NY censuses I find only one JAMES DENTON who records sons matching the ages of ISAAC & BENJAMIN; 1820 and 1830 the family lived in Thompson, Sullivan Co., NY. They do not appear on the 1840 census. Does this help at all? Walter
