Until recently, I had no idea who Jane's parents could have been. However, I have learned that Skinner and Jane (nee Kelso) Hutson had a daughter: Sarah, b. 30 Aug 1789, Bourbon Co., KY; d. 3 Nov 1872, Madison Co., OH; md.
(1) Jonathan Denton, 22 Oct 1806, Bourbon Co., KY;
Three children: James, Jane, Elizabeth;
(2) James Kilgore, 23 Feb 1814, Madison Co., OH; Five children.
Query: Seeking information that confirms or negates the possibility that Joseph Stroup's wife, Jane (nee Denton), was a daughter of Jonathan and Sarah (nee Hutson) Denton.
