Denton Family Genealogy Forum

Hi, I am looking for Denton information after a fairly large family skeleton fell out of the closest... As of yesterday we now know that the "uncle" that was supposedly a "close family friend" when my grandfather was young was really my grandfather's (and his brother's) real father.
Their real father was William "Bill" Denton (always called "uncle Bill" by my mother...). I think he was probably born in Illinois, and his parents from Kentucky. Not sure when they ended up in Kansas. As far as we know he was a confirmed bachelor and was never married. I always heard that he was a multimillionaire with a ranch of many thousands of acres of land in Kansas, in or around the Howard area. The two "nephews" that are really his sons are (were) Otho Lyle and Teddy W. Amberg. Amberg, we now know, was really their "stepfather's"(?) name.
Because of the wealth, it is high profile enough that I am hoping that someone may know something. If there are living decedents on that end, they may not even know we exist. I would really appreciate any information.
Supposedly the man my mother and aunt always thought was their grandfather could not have children, and we're not sure it is was an arrangement so they were able to have children, or if it was an affair... My grandfather's "father" worked for the "uncle" who really fathered them, and they either shared a household or lived right by each other. My grandfather always went by Amberg, which was my mother's maiden name, and she never knew until today that her real maiden name should have been another one entirely. We have no idea why this was kept a secret, my grandparents never told, and at this point it's rather confusing now to find out that we aren't biologically Amberg descendents at all, and have almost no information of the Denton side.
