I do not have his parentage, only two census items:1840 Hopkins Co., KY. JOHN W. DENTON age 21-30; son 0-5; wife 21-30 (must be first wife). 1850 Montgomery Co. KY Dist. 1: J.W. DENTON, 31, farmer; worth $3450; b. KY; Elizabeth 27, b. KY; FRANCES 6, JAMES 4, WILLIAM 2, GEORGE 1, JOHN W. 2 mos. all b. KY
I have no further clues, but would like fuller data if you have same. Walter
