There were plenty of NORRIS listed in Overton Co TN as well as a number of DENTON. And there were a number of William to go around to boot.
The 1870 KY census shows William and Mary NORRIS living on the farm of Charles DENTON. He was a Baptist Minister from TN.
I did notice that there was an Ann NORRIS in one of the early census indexes and I believe she was head of household as well as a widow.
At any rate I have been trying to isolate one Isaac DENTON with a spouse named "Ann" or "Annie" with no results.
I will keep my eyes on the sites and will cite any data I find.
