I am also descended from Nathaniel. According to DENTON, E. - LETTER - UNKNOWN, he had a fine speaking voice, was very successful in law and was Magistrate in Kingston, Jamaica, L.I. in 1656. With some business partners he supposedly owned over half the state of N.J. According to DENTON, D. - NOTES - UNKNOWN PAGE 1, Nathaniel resided in Turnton, England; Watertown, Mass. in 1634; Wethersfield, Conn. in 1635; Stamford, Conn. in 1641; Hempstead, L.I. in 1644 and Jamaica, L.I. in 1656. He was a planter. He was the Magistrate of Rustdorp ( Jamaica or Crawford) in Jan. 24, 1661, also Aug. 30 1673, appointed Schepens of Jamaica by Admiral Benckens Sept. 6, 1673. He was a Justice of Queens County. He also owned along with others half the state of New Jersey. According to DENTON, D. - TABLE - UNKNOWN, Nathaniel was born on Mar. 7, 1628. I show the children of Nathaniel and Sarah to be: Nathaniel Jr. b. 1652 Samuel b. 1655 Richard b. 1658 Maria b. 1660 Phoebe b. 1662 I do not show a Sarah b. 1677.
