Joseph Denton was born about 1800 and married Martha H. (Patsy) Duddleston 26 November 1817 in Lexington, Garrard County, Kentucky. He was the son of George Denton and Hester Layman (Lamon) Denton. Joseph was the brother of my great great grandmother, Hester Layman (Lamon) Denton. Like you, I know nothing else about Joseph, but would like to find more information. William D. Denton of Elizabethtown,NY (deceased), found a Joseph Denton on the 1820 Census of Logan County, Kentucky that could be him. He found:
1 male under 10
1 male 26-45
2 females under 10
1 female 16-26

I have not done research on Joesph, but Logan County 1820 would be a good place to begin. I am interested in sharing information on the Dentons.
