Mary Denton and John Towers married before 1840. He is probably ex Lancashire and worked as a wheelwright at the Haswell colliery, county Durham.Their son, William Towers,enlisted in the 70th (Surrey)regiment and was discharged in New Zealand.Information regarding ancestry and relatives would be appreciated.
