I have recently found information on the internet which says that Elizabeth & Martha Chastain (daughters of Jemima Denton & John {Blind John}Chastain) married James Allen in the Pendleton District of South Carolina.
But there is some confusion for me as to whether it was Elizabeth or Martha Chastain that married James. Can someone straighten this out for me??
My line MAY trace back to one of their children John Cleveland Allen. Thanks.
