Attached are the wills of John Denton 1550, William Denton 1552, Chofer. Denton 1553, and Gilbert Denton 1557, all of Halifax. John Denton, and as well as three of his heirs (Richarde Yngame, Willm. Denton, and Gilbert Denton), are sons/son-in-laws of Chofer. Denton. The wills also show that the Denton’s owned property both in Ovenden and Warley, and the origin of some of their property from Sir Henry Savile… FYI Source: Halifax wills : being abstracts and translations of the wills registered at York from the parish of Halifax by Clay, J.
