Alfred Denton, b. 15 Oct 1810 in Cocke Co., TN, d. 13 Sep 1865 in Monroe Co., TN. Alfred married Darcus Click (dau. of Henry Jackson Click and Ruth ?). Darcus was b. 17 May 1817 in Washington Co., TN. It has been suggested that Jackson Denton and Abigail Denton (cousins) were the parents of Alfred. I wonder if Alfred was a middle name that he went by. Alfred Denton and Darcus (Click) Denton had several children...the youngest being William Harrison Adkins Denton, b. 06 Mar 1861 in Monroe Co., TN who married Martha Leona Harris.
