Tanya, good to hear from you. Greencastle is in Franklin County in the southern part of PA. My Dentlers were all around the central part -- Northumberland and Union Counties. I wonder where James was born in 1852? That would help. Have you found the family on all the censuses? I don't have a James in my database yet but it's a good bet they are related. The earliest Dentler immigrant was Hans (Johannes) born in 1711 who came to Lancaster County in 1732. He had a brother Wilhelm and most likely all their descendants spread out over PA . . .
