I posted a copy of Emma Dent Parrett's memoirs at

Emma was John Dent's granddaughter. Her father was James. This is a 6 page document describing John Dent's plantation, and James' trip with his family to Illinois in a covered wagon. Other names mentioned include Col. John Evans, William Berkshire, John E. Dent, Enoch Dent and more.
