I have information on Dent, plus Harris, Hinton, Jamison, etc, all related to the Dent's and Jamison's. Most of it is from a lady by the name of Gloria Scott. In 1985 she lived in Springfield, MO. She was a descendent of Josiah's daughter Clara, who married Sandy W. Holland. However after corresponding with her for several months I switched jobs and had to put my genealogy on the shelf for a couple of years. When I tried to contact her again to get more information on her sources, I could not find her. The infomation she gave me on Samuel Dent's children are as follows:
Bailey Dent b ca 1796
Henry Dent b ??
Josiah Dent b. 4 Feb 1800 (however I found 9 Nov from other records)
Lavina Dent b ca 1804
Anne Dent b ??
Malinda Dent b. ??
Olly Dent (female) b. ??
It is thought that the children were probably all born in Madison Co., KY. Anne and Olly both married in Madison Co. (Madison Co. Marriages compiled by Bill & Kathy Vockery.
