Hello - can anyone help me?
Has anyone heard of the book "An eighteenth century shopkeeper - Abraham Dent of Kirkby Lonsdale" by Thomas S. Willan, 1970. I have two Abraham Dent s in my family history, who were both c18 and around Kirkby Stephen. I would be interested to know if anyone has seen this book, what it contains, and whether anyone knows anything about the Abraham Dent to which it refers. I don't want to spend money getting it until I know what it is all about!
I would also be interested to hear from anyone who is looking at Dent and Metcalfe links around Kirkby Stephen, North Yorkshire or Westmorland.
