I am trying to find information on the parents of Alphonso DENT who was the first husband of Elizabeth "Betty" CLAYCOMB. He died of Typhoid after the Civil War and Betty married her second husband Thomas Luther MCCOY. Though he is not a direct ancestor, there are other DENTS further back in my line, and I am just curious to see where Alphonso may fit in.
