H.G. Dent, Memphis. I have a book from the 1860s?

Hello,

I have discovered a book that was presented to my Great Great Grandfather William H. Gayle, or his son, William H. Gayle. There is no date inside the book, but it says, "Presented to William H. Gayle, Memphis, by H.G. Dent."
There is an ink stamp that says "H.G. Dent Memphis" at the bottom of the front page.
This book is very old, and my guess is that it was published prior to the 1850s. My Great Grandfather was born in 1855 and died in 1907. His Father, my Great-Great Grandfather was also William Henry Gayle born in 1828 and died in 1867. I am just curious if there is anyone who is a descendent of H.G. Dent of Memphis. He may have been born between 1800 and 1840 or something, i suppose.
Thanks.
