Bedford Co., VA Deeds for Joseph Brown. Witness: John Dent, brother of Elizabeth Dent, wife of Joseph Brown.
1777 - Feb. 1, Joseph Brown was conveyed a deed from Joseph Payne and wife Phebe for 238 acres on the east branches of Beaverdam Creek and the head branches of Stony Fork of Goose Creek, near Weaver and Pate. Witnessed by John Dent, Robert Nimmo and William Azberry. Recorded Feb. 1, 1777. (Befdford DB 5:496)
1786 - Nov 15, Joseph Brown was conveyed a deed from Joseph Blankenship for 185 acres on Beaverdam Creek. Witnesses were Jeremiah Pate, Nathan Hunt and John Dent. Signed Nov 15, 1786 and recorded June 25, 1787 Bedford. Co.
