Joseph Brown's wife was Elizabeth Dent, daughter of Peter Dent. Peter was from Charles Co., MD. Her siblings were Peter Dent, Jr. (Mary Ann Posey); Sybil Dent (William Camden); and John Dent (Sarah Brown, daughter of Joseph Brown and Elizabeth Dent, born in Amherst Co., Va). I have not been able to find a record for the marriage of Joseph Brown and Elizabeth Dent. I believe they married about 1756, but I have not located a record in Bedford or Amherst Co., VA. Can anyone help?
