Betty Bryan, Dent researcher, has passed away

I had not heard from Betty or her husband in several months. I wrote an email to Betty's husband "Chipper" yesterday and received the news of Betty's death. Betty was a passionate member of the Worldwide Dent Family site and of other Dent family message boards over the years. She was an educated and professional business woman who suffered a debilitating brain injury a few years back. She kept her spirits up and always tried to have a positive attitude about her illness and her life. She was an inspiration to those who were "Internet buddies" of hers. In 2001 and 2002, we tried to organize a Dent Family Reunion and even though it later had to be canceled because of the USA "9-11" tragedy and a devastating tornado at the proposed reunion site, Betty was excited for the event. She wanted to help in any way she could: by sending out announcements to Internet sites, write letters, etc. She would not have been able to attend but wanted others to benefit and enjoy a Dent family reunion. I know her family is so happy that Betty is now not suffering but they, also, are going to miss her terribly. The following is the message I received from Chipper Bryan, Betty's husband.

Susie,

I'm so sorry to inform you that we lost Betty on April 24, 2007 at 2:10pm. I'm sorry I haven't gotten to notifying all but have been really busy taking care of thinks. Per Betty's wish, I have fixed up the grave site to show her maiden name so as people can trace her family. I will send you some stuff if you can send me your address.

Susie, she was a very special women not only to me but all of those that she in countered. As I have told her brothers and one of her daughters, "it was a Privilege & Honor to be married to such a great women". Betty was not only my wife but my best friend. The comfort I take in hand is that she is in a better place and has no pain or suffering any longer. Betty is with her family rejoicing in Heaven. We were married for 26 1/2 years. Goes without saying "I miss her very much".

Please let the Dent Family know that she loved each & everyone of them even though she never got to met most of them. She did enjoy working on her family site which will be kept open by myself & Maria Hansen (our niece). If anyone would like to send anything, Betty had requested that a donation be made to;

Second Chance of Northwest Florida Inc.
222 E. Beach Drive
Panama City, Florida 32401
850-769-7779
Kathy Meade- Executive Director

All donations are to be made in Betty's name please. This is the Brain Injury Program where Betty volunteered. This was her second passion. All donations are tax deductible as they are a 501(c)3 program. Many people have already donated keeping Betty's name a live with her kids she loved so much.

Please pass this info on to all the Dent family for me and again, please let them know that she loved them one & all. Susie, Thanking you for being there for and with Betty though all of her times.

Robert (Chipper) Bryan
Panama City Beach, Fl. 32417
