Dents of Durham/Yorkshire, UK

Hello all, just thought I'd share my branch of the tree in case anybody recognises any conections:
My mother's family were all miners in the Tudhoe/Widdlestone/Whitworth parishes of Spennymoor near Durham going back around one hundred and fifty years. My oldest ancestor so far is Charles Dent who would have been born around about 1790, his son Henry (1812 - 1874) was born in Yorkshire, though we've yet to find out precisely where, and there seems to be no record of the family in the Spennymoor area before 184o. So, it is likely that the family moved from Yorkshire sometime before that.
We also have two Elijah Nicholson Dents, which is a relativly distinctive name which someone might recognise. After Henry we have Elijah Nicholson Dent (1849 - c1920), then another Henry and another Elijah Nicholson, before arriving at my Grandfather.
Other important families which link into the tree are Nicholsons, Gibsons and Matthews.
Drop me a line if you think we're connected to your tree somewhere...
