Have traced my line to the will of George DENT, proved 30 March 1775 in England. Have found his ties to the Alum industry in Yorkshire and then later in London.
His granddaughters from his first marriage (through daughter Sarah who married James ROWLANDS,date,unknown)married Isaac MALLISON(1767), Robert WEATHERLEY (1774),Charles DRUMMOND (1777)and ? Craig (?).
George,married for a 2nd time in 1772 to a Lydia Bell(previously married) who had 2 sons and then together they had another George.
I am posting this info in the hopes that others have connections 'my' George. Would love to share details.
