I am related to Dent's from the Barningham, Scargill and Hope area of Teesdale, England.
I can go back as far as Matthew Dent born 1734, then his son Matthew Dent born 1771 in Barningham. His son was John Dent born 1812 at Hope and his son was John Dent born 1843 at Scargill. The family then moved away from the area to County Durham.
