I am seeking information on my great grandfather ZACHARIAH TAYLOR DENT, born October, 1848. He was the father of Charles C. Dent, born about 1878; John Will Dent, born Feb. 1880; Lula N. Dent, born Feb. 1884; Lucious L. Dent, born Oct. 1886; Carl Edward Dent (my grandfather, born Oct. 15, 1889; Ora M. Dent, born 1893; and, Mattie Dent, born 1895. According to family members, ZACHARIAH TAYLOR DENT's family came from Arkansas, and he made a trip back to Arkansas just prior to his death. However, I have been unable to link him with Arkansas Dents. On Jan. 9, 1870, he married Matilda Marchman, daughter of James Wesley Marchman, in Pulaski County, Georgia; she died in Sept. of 1873. He married Martha J. Sapp, daughter of William R. Sapp, on Dec. 26, 1875. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
