hi woody-
i'm looking for info on the george dent you mentioned in your posting. he died in fairfax in 1757, leaving widow elizabeth. i believe she later married jeremiah hampton.
my ancestor, john dent was born in fairfax county in 1755, and i'm trying to find out if george is his father.
john married margaret evans, who was the daughter of john evans of fairfax. john evans' father died in 1747, and john summers sr. was named as his guardian.

the evans family was quaker.
i'm leaping way ahead by speculating, but i wonder if the john summers sr. who signed george dent's letters of administration is the same john summers sr. who was john evans' guardian, and the same john summers sr. (1695-1769) who was the son of john summers and rebecca dent of pg county?
do you have anything on george dent other than the letters of administration and the very brief inventory i've seen?
