I am mixed up so I am going to put what I have and maybe someone can help get me straight. I find Reuben Densmore listed as born in Canada and different places. So I am not sure. What I do have is...
A death certificate that has Name: Reuben Densmore, Sex: Male, Age:74years 1month 8days, Occupation: Farmer, Date of Death: July 9th 1879, hour2a.m., Married, Nationality and place where born:Maine, June 1st 1805, How long resident in this State: about 37 years, Place of death: Shelby Precinct, Cause of death: Dysentery, Duration of disease:18days, Place and date of burial: Blain Cemetery Richland Co., July 10th 1879.
I know he was buried with his first wife Mary J. Nettleton m.1831 Canada and his second wife Elizabeth J. Merchant m. 1863 Richland County, IL is buried at Parkersburg, IL. In the census I find, have him born (Conn) which I believe is Connecticut. I also have his will but it really just tells me who he was leaving everything to.
I hope someone can shine some light on this family...PLEASE I come down the line with his son George W. Densmore.
Thank You!!!
