Denoon - Williams connection?

Greetings all, I am researching a Denoon-Williams connection based on an 1840 Illinois Land Grant to William Denoon Williams in Clay County, Ill. We are trying to determine what the Denoon connection is. We think that this William is the son of John and Jane Gooley Williams all of whom came to Illinois by 1840 from Pickaway County, Ohio; John and Jane married in Loudoun County, Ohio, @ 1809 and the Gooleys were originally from Maryland. I have seen info that Elizabeth Williams Denoon b. 1805, dau. of John and Sarah Burrell Denoon married Richard Ballinger. Does anyone know where her middle name of Williams came from? or where she was married? Any help would be most appreciated.
