We are different braches of the same family. Peter Denny was born in Quebec in 1812 and emigrated to Clayton in the mid 1840s with his wife Elizabeth "Rose" Belleville. Peter's original name was Pierre Veronneau dit Denis which was angelized to Peter Denny. They had 10 known children one being Leander or Leandre who was born in 1841 at Coteau Landing, Quebec. Leander Sr and Mary Ann Pelow had 10 children one being George Amos born in 1879. I have that he moved to NJ about 1915 with his wife Margaret Byrne. My grandfather was his brother (Edward S Denny). As to where the Bible went I have been wondering the same thing! I do have addition info on the family if you are interested.
